This will be the 5th fall season Ollie Mae has been in business and we felt it was time to shake it up a bit. (but just a bit) For years, people have asked us where they can shop Ollie Mae outside of the show circuit and for years our answer has been "online only". You see, Amy and I both have jobs outside of OM. This whole idea started as just that an idea. It was a little dream we had... something fun to do together that could help others and give us a little extra money as well. Through the years we have learned so much about the retail industry. For better or worse we have grown to love our little Airstream and its customers more than we could have ever dreamed. When we talked last spring about doing some things differently with OM a permanent space has always been something we had in the back of our minds. So we prayed... our children are getting older, school, work and home life is more demanding than ever. How can we still do this thing we love but in a new, fresh way that works for us? Enter- Lone Star Mercantile. This new retail space checked all the boxes for our needs and we are proud to be one of over 200 venders who now call it home. So, 7 days a week (M-Sat 10-7pm, Sun 12-5pm) You can visit this fantastic retail space and find a little piece of Ollie Mae. We are "parked" in the middle (Booth M12) and we will be putting in new inventory weekly for our sweet customers. So, come on by... stroll around and enjoy this new little destination in Allen, Tx. Oh, and not to worry... Ollie Mae will still be on the road! Our next stop will be Vintage Market Days in Decatur, Tx! See you soon!!

We may add a few more shows to this list but these are the set dates we currently have on the calendar!
Recently, I became friends with the precious people behind the Pure Hope Foundation. They not only believe brighter days are around the corner but they will be making it a reality for many women. Currently they are working on creating a place called the Hope House in Mt Vernon, TX. This will be a refuge for women rescued from sex trafficking and transiting back into mainstream life. Currently they have the home bought, have painted and started the rehab process but now need all the little things that make a house a "home". Amy and I are so excited to see how God is moving through people we love so close to home and we couldn't pass up the opportunity to help on a local level! SO, with the backing of our dear friends at the Lagosette school in Haiti, we will be taking the 10% we normally give to them for the next three shows and be giving that money to the Pure Hope Foundation. This money will be used to buy pillows, art work, lighting, etc and help provide a beautiful place for these women to call home.
We also want to encourage all of our shoppers to give as well. Please visit the website for Pure Hope and donate what you can. Follow their journey on Facebook and Instagram and pray for them and the women they will be serving. They are asking for short and long term contributions and trust me when I say your money will be used in such beautiful and life changing ways!
brav·er·y (noun) courageous behavior or character. synonyms: courage, valor, intrepidity, nerve, daring, fearlessness, audacity, boldness, dauntlessness, stoutheartedness, heroism. Our first show of the spring season will be here before we know it! This will be our third show with Vintage Market Days Tulsa and we couldn't be happier. Each show carries with it a theme... You can see it reflected in the decor, the t-shirt design and it's just a general feeling in the air. This time around that theme is Be Brave. For Amy and I this sentiment carries with it a deep personal meaning. You see we pray relentlessly we can teach our babies what being brave really looks like everyday. Whether that is having the boldness to speak truth in the lies or being fearless in starting your own business. It could be as daring as serving others abroad or having the nerve to share a meal with the homeless man on the corner. It could be a simple as having the courage to get out of bed and face another day when everything seems stacked against you. So, as we gear up for what the new spring show season brings we will be praying for each of you... May you take on each day with a boldness and make every moment a Brave one. ;)

Amy and I have grown to love the little traveling show called Vintage Market Days. It is one of the best shows around and we are so proud to be a part of this sweet group. They have become an extended family of sorts for us and we adore the owners and vendors alike. Each show is individually owned but they all work collectively to achive a common goal and in our experience it is to give everyone involved a fun, creative, and nostalgic place to shop for those pieces you can't find anywhere else. The food is always delicious and the music is always fabulous.
Our first stop this fall show season will be with Vintage Market Days Southfork Ranch. If you are unfamiliar with Southfork here is a little history... Southfork began in 1978, when Lorimar Productions chose the North Texas showplace as the site for the CBS-TV series "Dallas". The hit series, which counted millions of viewers across the United States and in 95 foreign countries as fans, was originally broadcast in the United States from 1978 to 1991. Because of the ranch's high profile on television, the beautiful white mansion, the pool, the barns and surroundings quickly became a tourist mecca.
We hope you will grab a friend and join us for a fun day of shopping in this most unique of surroundings! We hope you are able to see and experience why Vintage Market Days was voted one of the "7 Flea Markets and Barn Sales not to miss in 2015" by Country Living Magazine! See you at the ranch!
